>>52973710>Fully 3DThat has its ups and downs. Idle animations lack the dynamic posing and expression of the 2D portraits
>Fairy typesGenuinely good addition that gives poison and steel types more relevance, and dark, fighting, and dragon types more checks.
They also removed Steel type's resistances to dark and ghost
>Pokémon AmiePetting and playing with your Pokémon will always be a popular feature.
Pokémon getting affectionate and making battles super easy by randomly surviving with 1hp or removing status conditions is controversial, though.
>Hyper trainingI'm glad you can use this to fix bad IVs on Pokémon, and thankful that Gen 9 changed it to only require level 50, and outright let you buy bottle caps.
>RollerskatingActually hated this. You weren't allowed to use free movement without going full speed, it was hard to control. Map interaction was still grid-based, making circle pad usage a huge pain in the ass.
>Team Flare and LysandreFucking sucked.
>Sky BattlesUnsubstantial battle format that had the detriment of multiple Pokémon being stuck in a perpetual gliding animation that looked like shit.
>Berry plantingNot introduced by XY, and arguably a hassle as it makes you run around the map on a daily schedule to farm and stockpile berries. It was a pretty time consuming task tying into a berries as materials economy not present in later games on purpose.
>Furfrou and VivilliionAlways nice to have interesting gimmick Pokémon. Can have the side effect of being a nightmare to complete a collection depending on the game you are playing.
Aside from all this, X/Y's main problems are that the main campaign just isn't all that fun.
Can you even remember any of the gym leaders from that game? That's remarkably unmemorable. I can remember maybe four without looking them up.
Lumiose City was also a pain in the ass to navigate, being the only location in the game to force the camera behind the player's back.
