If you aren't interested in actually playing tournaments and want to play with friends it's a good product.
They're all top decks so they're reasonably close in strength, mew is probably the easiest one to play for a newcomer.

A thread pops up about PTCGO occasionally but they die pretty fast. There's not much to say. We talked a little about the game during the recent regionals here but there's basically no interest. PTCG Live is pretty much derided across the board for good reason but they give you a Lugia deck that's pretty close to competition level and you can get a prebuilt Mew that only needs a few substitutions to get going. Galvantula is bulk.

Unless you only buy cards with images taken on a flatbed scanner you're just being dumb. There is perceptive distortion in most card images that is impossible to correct. I try to put in the time to take perfectly flat images and even then I would need to edit them to make them look even. Pixels wont provide any more accurate information when the image is distorted.

Ah nice, yeah my binder is side-loading. I just single-sleeve my cards when I put them in toploaders, but for my duplicates I put them in a binder (in a KMC perfect fit) if I'm try to collect entire sets.

Special mention to Shining Fates. I hate to let market prices influence my opinion, but I loved the shiny vault and it would have been nice to have some motivation to actually open packs rather than buying singles.

The alt arts are pretty weak. No notable waifus. And the radiants are cool, but I think it's kind of hard to appreciate them because the kanto starters feel like a given. Like if they weren't in that set they would have inevitably been in something else anyway. Comparatively it feels a bit more exciting to me to have pokemon like Steelix and Tsareena included in other sets. And while I can't speak for everyone else, my GO pack openings were not particularly fun.

I think that hiding ditto under actual cards was absolute kino but that's about the only good thing I can say about GO. If I had to pick 10 different Swsh sets to open I'd rather open pretty much anything else.

Got thost 2 cards and it didn't take me even 20 Silver Tempest boosters.
I still think ST have better pull rates no matter what people tell. It's like every time i try to buy boosters to open for fun - it's always a hit.
While when im trying to get more Lost Origin - it's a miss most of the time.
I'm all about buying singles in english/japanese but when im buying boosters for fun - Silver Tempes has insane pulls.
May be it's because it's kinda new? And new boxes tend to give you better pull rates to "promote the set"? And it's the end of Lost Origin so it's not trying to do that anymore?
Or it's just luck.

Anyways i'm going to buy those cases and keep these two in them.

I think ST has good rates but it's all just luck, I thought my AR pull rate was shit from a booster box but I did get the alt art Sneasler. Lost Origin is alright, I did ok with a booster box I got. Got 2/3 of the Radiants so extremely happy about that.

Forgot to tell that i'm not just buying boosters but trying to do the "guess" game.
Usually i pick Lugia boosters from ST. and Giratina/Zoroark from LO.
I know these don't mean anything but i try to be a wizard and use my magical eyes to guess the booster that contains stuff i will be happy to see.
Both these lugia and rayquaza were pulled from Lugia boosters that i decided to buy. I was going through boosters and grabbing Lugia ones. Then i was picking the ones that for some reason picked my attention.
If i didn't use this technic - i wouldn't pull these two so technically even if there is no magic - it still works and there is a proof of that - this photo is from Giratina booster of LO and Lugia booster of ST that i picked used my magic vision.

I wish we had english boosters in the wild. I can only buy singles in "eng" or get memed by ETB/Stadiums where i can't chose stuff by myself..

Exactly what >>52986446 said. VStar Universe has the so called "god packs", that's way more fun. BUT VStar Universe is still more than double the MSRP, so certainly not worth buying now IMO. Hopefully prices will decline after January 20th, Crown Zenith's official release.
