The Lake of Rage is my favourite location in Pokémon because it reminds me of the places we used to go camping as a kid.

Floaroma Meadow is my second favourite location in Pokémon because it reminds me of the fields around my grandparent's village that we used to go on walks as a kid.

All of the coastal towns and beaches in Pokemon are my favourite because they remind me of my childhood vacations to the seaside which is where I played a lot of Pokemon.

Same here anon. Even though Johto is based completely off of areas in Japan, there's a lot of parts of the natural landscapes that my kid brain could interpret as the UK countryside and areas local to me.
