I think Garchomp/Gastrodon most likely be fantastic here. They've not made a habit of kitting out the 'mons with ridiculous coverage so far, so if Gren doesn't get an Ice or Grass move, they'll both be fine against Water and Dark as well as resist Poison. Those 3 move types are nearly guaranteed. The main difficulty here comes from guessing whether they go Mixed, Physical, or Special.
Physical has the only boosting option with Swords Dance, but Mixed or Special could easily use Taunt and Double Team to still be a tough fight. Either way, Clear Smog and a faster Taunt (probably Prankster only at that point) may be invaluable against it.
Honestly, though, I'm betting on Special or at least mixed. 7 Stars have been decently themed so far, with Charizard only getting fire and dragon attacks, and Cinderace getting "football attacks". I think its moveset will probably have Water Shuriken in it due to that. Probably Extrasensory, too, with its ninja association in Pokémon. If it's mixed it's probably getting Gunk Shot and Night Slash to go with it, probably, and if it's special it'll be going Tera Blast and Dark Pulse. Still tough to counter type wise. If it has Extrasensory, Water Absorb Clodsire won't even be safe.
Gastrodon and Garchomp are the safest bets here IMO with some Klefki/Tinkaton supports? Or Klefki Stored Power memes, I guess
