>>53006760>Most JRPGs aren't Pokemon.Are you new to the franchise? Pokemon is like many JRPGs in that its creature design takes inspiration from dozens of myths and legends from all around the world. Also, it's a kids franchise, so references to religion and such are light/vague at best.
Not advocating for Light-type, but having angelic or "holy" Pokemon wouldn't be much different from what they're already doing with the franchise's many golems, "Hawaiian" deities, etc. Other children's franchises like Digimon, Yu-Gi-Oh, Bakugan, Duel Masters, etc. have BEEN doing the divine monsters thing.
