Hisuian Avalugg was a mockery of everyone's valid complaints about Aurorus and both Rock & Ice in general if you think about it.

- like Aurorus, Hisuian Avalugg has the same typing and happens to be in a game that heavily favors fast Pokémon (38 Speed). This makes Hisuian Avalugg worse in Trick Room thanks to the +10 in Speed from the Kalosian counterpart's 28 Speed.
- Unlike Aurorus, Hisuian Avalugg has two 80+ BP STABs with Mountain Gale (Ice) and Stone Edge (Rock) making use of its highest attacking stat. Catch is that both have shit accuracy (85 for Mountain Gale and 80 for Stone Edge). Aurorus has the benefit of Blizzard being 100% in Hail/Snow while Ancient Power is always 100%. And Mountain Gale's flinch chance does nothing for Avalugg while Blizzard's chance to freeze the targets benefits Aurorus if a freeze does occur.
- the figurative "weak to everything" was something Game Freak took note of with every Alpha Pokémon having coverage out the ass and Hisuian Avalugg's piss-low Special Defense means it can be OHKO by neutral & resisted Special moves
