Meanwhile, Lyra isn't a redesign, she just a new character. But if she were a redesign she'd be the worst one by far because she completely removes what made Kris special. Kris's athletic look made prefect since in a game were you travel on foot/bike ride throughout 2 regions, and her blue spikey pigtails were unique. Meanwhile, I'm not eve sure what Lyra is going but looks like someone trying and failing to cosplay as a farmgirl. Her whole vibe is something Pokemon never went for with trainers before and even then Lyra looks cutesy even compared to modern protagonists to the point where she looks babyish. Its like Game Freak though Kris was too cool but then they overcorrected.
