Trade evo items should work like PLA.
Normal trade Pokémon; Machamp, Gengar, etc; should evolve through trade but you can also evolve them by training them to level 50+

Screw that. Increase the evo levels of ALL Pokémon.
All starters should evolve at level 20 and then level 40.
And other evolutions should be further increased to match Unova's

If we have to rely on NPCs to get trade evos, then what's the point of catching and training the pokemon that's in the wild? Not to mention that they come with nicknames, which can be troublesome for those who don't nicknames on their teams.

Every gym leader should force you to battle with different rulesets. No reason to force bug/rock type gym leaders to always be the first/second gym leaders since they're so weak late game, when you could do something interesting interesting like making a late game bug gym leader who forces you to do inverse battles.

Trading shouldn't be mandatory. I never even said that Trading shouldn't exist. Being forced to give up a pokemon you raised to someone else so that they can have the evolution is just fucking lame.

Why would you trade for a pokemon you don't want? And what makes you think it wouldn't be the NPC giving you the trade evo?

To complete the dex. Their are still version exclusive pokemon that incentivize trading as well as pokemon from previous games that are not catchable in the current game.

Again, what would you take account for trade evo pokemon that players caught and trained from the wild? I don't mind gift pokemon and in-game trades, but those are a one time thing and only for a few pokemon.

Is Gamefreak capable of programming that? Also, take shinies into consideration. What's a kid going to do if they find and catch a shiny Machop and decide that he wants to evolve it into Machamp, for instance? Is the NPC going to trade back pokemon?

Stone evolutions should also be removed or at least make the stones available late game again. Getting strong fully evolved pokemon as early as the second or third gym is terrible. Doesn't help that free move relearner in the newer games let's you have the strong moves that early as well.
