How come everyone likes Baxcalibur but hates Druddigon even though they objectively share the same design choices?

Druddigon is comprised of 3 main colors. (Blue, red, and tan).
Baxcalibur is comprised of 2 main colors. (Blue, light blue).
Druddigon doesn't have any particularly visible way of fitting a unique biological niche. It's just a gargoyle creature. It uses it's claws and jaws probably.
Baxcalibur has a blade of ice on it's back that it uses to impale enemies with some retarded Godzilla flying maneuver. It has red starfish on its hands that heat it up or something.

Baxcalibur has much MUCH better color balance throughout the design. Druddigon is only good without the wings, making him 2/3 blue and 1/3 red. With the wings there's just this barely designed first-draft blue shape coming out of him making his red head really stand out and look ugly.
Baxcalibur doesn't have the same color problem. Althought the red... things on his hands look out of place, they're small and not nearly as important as the fucking head

The differences you mentioned don't prevent Baxcalibur from being based off it. You can just as easily list all the ways a water chameleon isn't actually a certain human spy as if that list insists they're unrelated.
