I genuinely don't understand why people get mad at GameFreak for including Kanto in so many things. Kantomons are huge draws, they're the most memorable, the series is founded on them, people always gravitate towards Kantomons over the newer ones regardless.

Even when we got dexes with a lot of good original Pokemon like Hoenn and Sinnoh, people were still putting Snorlax and Eeeveelutions in their party.

So what is the ACTUAL problem? What does this take away? Does another Raichu take away from Squawkabilly's chance to shine or something?

It's more the overwhelming focus Kanto mons get. Mega Evolutions weren't too bad, but they undermined your starter and only Charizard and Mewtwo got version exclusive ones. Alolan variants only included Kanto mons even though the other five generations had plenty of entries that could have benefited from a tropical redesign, and they got the majority of the exclusive Z-moves. In Gen 8 it was just sad because all the Gigantamaxes were Gen I or Gen VIII with the exception of Garbodor (who was probably just easier to gigantamax than Muk or Weezing to get a Poison type in there) and Melmetal (who was introduced at the end of VII and filled out the Steel typing in the same way).
There's no reason why the other regions can't get some love, but excepting PLA's new Johto evolutions they never do.

Wrong for both regions. Wrong for Hoeen because people use mostly Hoenn Pokémon in playthoughs. Wrong for Sinnoh because Sinnoh’s dex is godawful

Also Slugma... I think those minus Lugia are put there because you don't get them in Johto in the OG games? No clue about Lugia's presence there though.

You mean they mostly use Gardevoir, Salamence, Ludicolo, Sharpedo, and Flygon. No one really out there using Castform, Grumpig, Spinda, Plusle/Minun, Luvdisc, Seviper, Roselia, Swalot, the Wurmple family, Ninjask, Tropius, or a plethora of other mons that have been hit with the "forgotten" stick (unless they got an evolution in later games).

The guy who made the KantoDex is trying to stretch the definition of Kanto as far as he can. It's why Wiglett is on there despite being an entirely different Pokemon, not just a variant. Sneasel can only be found on the other side of the Kanto border in GSC.

I have zero clue why Murkrow or Houndour are included, because I could've sworn they could be found at night time in city areas of Crystal. I don't remember where you can find them in Gold or Silver.

Sneasel is the only one that can be found in Johto (in Mt. Silver in GS and the Ice Cave in C). Murkrow and Houndour are Route 7 (+16 for Murkrow) only.

As ass-backwards as it sounds Route 28 is considered Kanto even though Mt Silver is in Johto.

Neither of them can be found in Johto in GSC. You probably Mandela’s yourself into thinking they are because that would have made senses

Wrong. Mt Silver is part of Johto. And you can only find it in the Ice Path in Crystal
