We also learn that it was not only just worshipped on Sinnoh, but its what the entire region is, though this is a bit lost in translation.
In japanese the names of the regions are usually in katakana(even Kanto, which is the real name of the place), so it'd be シンオウ and every use in any game goes with that, including the "almighty Sinnoh". Sinnoh name comes from 神奥(also the chinese name) which is the kanji for deity/and "inner".
But the old verse 10 has it as 深奥("great mistery", translated both as "almighty unknowable" and "great unknowable"), also read shinnou.
So basiccally it went
深奥 (the unknown, Arceus proper)>シンオウ(almighty sinnoh, the takes from the D and P clans based on the Dialga and Palkia forms that imitate it)>both were mixed as thought to be the real Arceus which results in both the statue at Eternia being seen as a fusion of Dialga and Palkia(even in BDSP which wouldn't have that technical limitation) and Cyrus in Platinum initially thinking Arceus's power was just Dialga and Palkia and nothing else.
Basically the entire place are Arceusfags but they don't realize it.
