All the NPCs are now generic trainers and don't have names anymore. All the pokemon are in but there are no new moves. The battling system is even more simplified. At least the games actually look compentent visually.

Would be by far the best Pokemon game, as Miyamoto has outright stated he loves Pokemon at its conception (RBY/GSC) and focuses more on fun and engaging gameplay over story
It would also take far too long to make and be far too expensive for the shoestring budget the games are made on, so the answer is "a pipe dream"
