Oddly enough yes, for Ruby and SS and both times it has been Jirachi.
Part of the problem with doing this is that they level up fast and eventually disobey you, unless you hatch them from an Egg.

Usually I'm done with my playthrough by the time Mystery Gifts start really rolling out and I don't often reset my file to play again and usually just emulate for subsequent plays. I did use the Speed Boost Mega Blaziken that they gave out at the start of XY though.

i always inject the liberty ticket for victini when i replay bw because he is my favorite pokemon and i wish i lived in the world where he had base stat 520 and was a rare encounter in the lower floors of relic castle

earliest i can remember is using victini in my white, then keldeo, lando-t and genesect in my white 2 and black 2, then i transferred a melmetal from go for my lg pikachu playthrough
that's pretty much it for first time playthroughs, i occasionally pick a low level event legendary/mythical to spice things up in repeat playthroughs

I have, five times. In chronological order, they are:

Victini was like 20-30 I can’t remember so it was good for playthroughs.

I tend to avoid using legendary and mythical Pokémon during playthroughs. The only exception is Victini in my first playthrough of white when it launched intending to replace it with another fire type but never did.

yeah I guess I've used a lot of event/mythical pokemon. maybe next time I play gen 7 I'll use magearna or jirachi in BDSP

The only time I used a mystical during playthrough was BDSP because I hated the game and wanted to get through it as quickly as possible to get ribbons for my mons.

Technically Legendary, not Mythical, but I ised 10% Zygarde in an USUM run once. It isn't too strong if you leave it in that form.

I did a solo run of Ruby once with a bonus disc Jirachi. It was a fun to micromanage its level so it would stay obedient, and then fighting Sydney was fun.

that's the only time a mythical was available early, actually caught as an event instead of being a gift in a mart, and at a low enough level that you can feasibly add it to your team.
