Grass type has some funny sub-types: the shrooms which all learn spore, the flower based who learn sleep powder and include poison type or moves, the field type which include most mammals and tend to be physical types, and the pure plant based pokemon which can vary.
It's not like water type where all water types may learn hydro pump, but not all Grass types learn solar beam.
