Is Cacturne a bad design?
I tried to retrospectively criticize older designs without the nostalgia bias.
His limbs are just unfunctional simplistic blob outlines, the spines are just basic diamond shapes, I like the eyes and the shape of the mouth. But the lack of shape and details outweighs the goods.
This is a well liked Pokemon but I can't find objective qualities to call it a good design, it would even fit nu-Pokemon style more than many other nu-Pokemon.
