Run in and out of places to reset spawns.
Once you see a shiny, STOP, save and keep the menu open but don't let it run away and despawn, this will prevent it from starting a fight, if it starts a battle with you somehow just catch it.
When you do find the shiny, post what shiny and the location so another player can go catch it, then after the sandwich ends since you saved in front you can restart and get that exact same shiny
