I saw a picture of the elite four the other day and had totally forgotten about the dragon teacher from the school, can't even remember his name. Some characters were memorable, but overall it was just so forgettable and unsatisfying.
PLA had a twist ending and you had to catch Arceus. SV didn't even have a final dungeon, and the extra box legendary is just standing there without explanation waiting to be caught. You just eventually run out of things to do without a real climax or post game.
