It still hurts
I was about to end this off with I'm still salty about that, but while looking for a pic to add to this post, apparently the wiki says I still could have gotten it if I went to the snagem hideout in the postgame (which I never thought to do)

One of the reasons Why I liked Skeledirge is because of how it hard counters almost everything that dog has if you take terrastalising out of the equation to the point where its comical. Its resists both its stabs and a decent amount of its coverage, immune to its best fighting coverage and ignores intrepid sword thanks to unaware plus (while nerfed in the PP department) it has recovery via slack off. The only thing Zacian has that can deal with it is its dark coverage and even then Crunch is the only good option with how bulky (and slow which makes assurance too weak to be effective) dirge is. It’s basically almost a better check than quagsire in this specific matchup as it can reliably take almost everything that mutt dishes out.

Maybe they're anagrams, but personally I think it's like a Japanese who doesn't know any English thinks American names sound like.

What doesn't make sense is why didn't the localization team adapt this? They changed Satoshi and Shigeru to Ash and Gary, couldn't they do something similar?
