Most 3rd parties aren't even distributing funds properly and a lot of them set up offshore accounts. The money is there, it's just either overpaying someone up top or sitting in a poorly used war chest.

I've already sworn off buying new Pokemon games after SV. I would laugh my ass off if I saw them trying to get $70 out of a new game. Because you know goddamm well that it wouldn't be improving Game Freak's work cycle.

I do not believe this for a second. Maybe if games quit trying to be photorealistic and didn't spend half the budget purely on advertising, they wouldn't be so strapped for cash.
