Is it worth getting into competitive vgc?

I've always wanted to do competitive VGC but just could never bring myself to pick up doubles. Long-time Pokemon fan, have done competitive TCG,but unsure if VGC is worth it. Any thoughts? Is it worth it in Gen 9?

If you like comp then play comp. It's that simple. It's gonna have it's cheese and it's counter meta crazy shit too. VGC can take some time investment to build teams for so you might as well practice a little on Smogon but it's something pokemon related to do if bored.

Just use the code from another team from the top 10 and start battling. I started with Scarlet and that's how I'm learning doubles. Now I have my own VGC team.
