Got into a pokemon kick again and I haven't finished platinum before. Tell me your teams and your other gen teams. I want to use the turtwig line but its sorta hard building a well rounded team around them. Id get pic related but he comes in so late.

i only beat it this year, and it was cus platinumqol was made. i just cant stomach gen 4 normally

Platinum has a lot of cool stuff. There's a lot of fun options like Vespiquen (you can actually soft reset the gender), Magmortar, Rhyperior, Electivire, Lickilicky, Toxicroak, Magnezone, Drapion, Gardevoir/Gallade, and Lucario. The tms for Thunderbolt, Ice Beam, Flamethrower, and Psychic are also really easy to get from the Game Corner so you can always have great coverage.
Torterra is a natural monster with moves like leech seed, earthquake, and curse. It can pull its own weight, you just need something for ice types.

Backbone of my most memorable Platinum team was a Gyarados with Earthquake which I bred onto a Gible so I had two earthquaking monsters halfway through the game. Allowed me to use my favorite shitmons without having to grind them really high up.

A Fire type would be useful for covering some of Torterra’s weaknesses, Houndoom (which was added in Platinum) is a great pick, having used one in my own Platinum playthrough (Empoleon, Togekiss, Luxray, Roserade, Houndoom and Gallade was my team).

There’s also the free Eevee from Bebe that was added in Platinum, which you could consider adding to the team if you end up lacking coverage for a certain type.
