Last year Stable Diffusion released and I felt I had to stay up to date with the recent tech, since all these ai's can and will eventually influence my job. Instead of fighting it I feel like I should learn to use it to my advantage, since there's no way we're stopping it.
Apart from all that, it's fun. I can make my own reference material, try different styles, play with coloring or shading without having to spend hours upon hours of learning. Drawing a nice piece used to take weeks, and now I can combine the notorious 'soulless' ai art with my own skills and style and make something great, in a matter of hours. Back in the day you had to buy the newspaper in order to read the news, now you can take your phone out of your pocket, this is the same thing.
