Well, it was fun while it lasted, but the singleplayer of these games have just been dying faster after beating all main objectives as early as gen 6, nosediving in gen 8, and more realized in gen 9. One of the damning issues being the phasing out of the Battle Tower; gen 6's Battle Maison was bland, but offered many battle formats. Gen 7's Battle Tree lost the triple/rotation formats, but had the ability to recruit almost every trainer you battled for multi-battle partners as well as a slew of boss trainers (they even used Mega Evolution and Z-moves as well). Gen 8 was an objective downgrade to the Battle Tower as the multi-battle format was removed as well as super singles/doubles with Leon being the only boss character. BDSP offered a watered-down Battle Tree minus the multi-battle format. Gen 9 offers nothing (unless they sell it back to people which would be hilarious, especially if people think it "improves" the game).
I've been sharing around this image of the unusable Pokémon/forms for SV because, unfortunately, some people have things called "expectations." For example, some think the other Kanto starters will be available this spring. Nope. I've seen a post about Dracovish breaking raids. Nope. Sinnoh starters? Going on two gens in a row with not being able to go to a mainline game. PoGO has an upcoming shiny Jirachi event and its only transfer destination will be LAST gen. Anything you see on this list you gotta hope for. "TRUST THE PLAN" as they say.
