Would swap final versions with betas:
1. Remoraid/Octillery because the weapon theme is clearer that way
2. Bellossom because I like the sparkles/flowers/blue + purple color scheme better (even though the flowers on its head seem to look exactly the same from behind in these sprites and that can't be right, unless it actually has 4 of them and not 2)
3. Girafarig because the beta is way cooler aside from the single horn on the dark half which sorta pisses me off (can do without its prevo here so that can stay unused forever)
4. Might be okay with golden Psychic Espeon and purple poison Umbreon, just for the hell of it

Would replace entirely:
5. Ax Stantler or Qwilfish or some other forgettable Gen 2 line with the cute bell cat line whose names I don't know offhand

Not exactly 5 but close enough

i have to disagree with you on Plux (Pinsir evo) and Tusbomitto (Weebinbell evo) getting cut. I like Bellsprout's design and Victreebel takes away the PvZ Peashooter look that I like about Bellsrpout. I would love it if the Blue version exclusives got the same treatment as the Red versions exclusives. It's not fair that Scyther and Gloom get evos but Weepinbell and Pinsir don't. fine list otherwise

Their issue was purely stat-wise. Adding extra evolutions to them would just generate bloat. And argument could be made about Tusbomitto being on gen 1 instead of weepinbell and victreebel, but it's a bit too late for that. Likewise for Pinsir, it needed a buff. Not an evolution that just changes its face and nothing else. It was a Palafin-tier evolution.

Cyndaquil and Totodile are just miles better than the little generic original options. Those two are one of the better designs from gen 2, and the starters would probably be more bashed by the fandom if the original existed.

i'm not sure it's what GF would have done but if a second Weepinbel evo used Victreebel's stats except it's attacking stats swapped with it's defending stats, I think it'd make for a cool tank, although it would probably have competition with Venusaur

Well in my opinion there were too many other pokemon more deserving of a spot that Bellsprouts evo, sadly. So many cut ones and I loved the gimmick of the voodoo doll. Maybe they could have fused that concept with wobbuffet

The Politoed is SO much better its not even funny. Just needs a crown on the top
The Kingdra is WAY better than what we got.
Especialy because it looks like it has kingdra stats, why "our" kingdra looks more like its speed and sp attack oriented

the viking boat that looks a little like dunsparce is kinda cool, i think it combines animal and objectmon quite nicley

the bugs under chikorita that look like bagworms would be pretty cool
the other generic bugs underneath houndour and houndoom wouldn't be as good but still alright, my mom's bug might not be the most creative design idea but bug's by themselves are cool enough organisms as they are
