i'm just doing poké cup to warm myself up as i'm not really good at competitive. most battles went ok but i nearly wiped to a miltank in the 5th battle which was quite funny

It's the direct ancestor to battle revolution (which is basically the same game with gen 4 mons and higher resolution graphics) and helped create the collosseum gameries, which have their own storyline. It also doesn't help that it wasn't a really big seller.

I love the animations, atmosphere, music, and announcer. I got to play gen 2 through it on the TV so it has a special place in my heart.
