Having unoptimized EVs and IVs etc. bothers me every time I use the Pokemon, even if it's just in regular play.
I know that you can reset EVs, and there's some special trainings for IVs, but there still isn't anything for changing natures for if/when I then take my casual team to the comp. battles (in game v. NPCs, or against other people). I think there's no way to change Nature, at least.

Because of the random nature and moves trainer mons have, EV training feels pointless in a casual run.

Natures is as far as my autism takes me. I can't imagine doing EVs every single time I want to play a Pokemon game, that sounds really tedious. But thinking about it, I kind of want to join in on the autism at least once. Might give it a shot next game I play.

You will still require a couple of all rounder stat pokemon for just general encounters; HM slaves usually fit the bill pretty well for that anyways.

Dunno man, it kills me inside to have ev`s in a stat i know i won`t make use of. This goes mainly to attacking stats,but also defensive stats on my sweepers

I actually use this to help me diversify my teams with each playthrough. I catch a myriad of pokemon and end up using the ones with beneficial natures. Its gotten me to use new mons without having to go the nuzlocke route.

EV-training is easy in games FRLG, since you might want to exp train a bit before the E4. The sevii islands is a good place for getting attack and special attack EVs without feeling you are wasting much time getting the extra levels

Unnecessary, but considering how much time that requires in Gen 3, I respect it. I've started doing that for my legendaries in Emerald.

Because everytime I play SoulSilver, I do this as well, in order to counter Lance's 3 illegal Dragonites and Red's overleveled team.
