>>53120945Because it would be unreasonably hard to make sprites/models for all possible Pokemon combinations. See how this fan project only has sprites for a tiny fraction of the potential fusions. And it would be even harder to do with 3D models.
But I do think limited fusions would be neat, like how a limited number of Pokemon got Megas. They could take pairs of Pokemon that work together, like version exclusive pairs (Mawile/Sableye) or related Pokemon (Nidoking/Nidoqueen) and make fusions for them.
