I've been slowly making my way through Diamond and Pearl Adventure! I finished volume 6 a few days ago and it covered this series version of the Pokemon league. It was done in a tournament style like how the anime handles it instead of like how it works in the game. A bunch of Platinum stuff is being introduced now, like Cheren and Looker. Viz's translation of the later volumes must have come out before Platinum got released in the west though because Looker is called Hansom in their translation.

Not "inherently good" but worthwile and worth preserving/documenting as licensed Pokemon material.
While doujins have literally no value (other than purely subjective "good" or "bad"), are untrackable and literally anyone can create them.

Fanwork should be contained in its own space, not mixed with official material.

I will add 4koma. I've been gathering the little pieces that are across the internet and I need to archive the ones on pokemon dot jp, probably need to write a script to do it. I actually learned about Pocket Comics yesterday, so I'll include them too.

Detective Pikachu is on the Polish site, I forgot to list it.

Yeah, read most of the notable ones.
I miss the abundance of mangas that we had during the first two gens.

My favorite is Golden Boys because I'm a Johto freak. Sucks that it was cut short. I wanted to see Gold face Red especially, since some chapters foreshadowed that. Also, a pretty solid game adaptation in overall.

lmao thanks again then. I used to be somewhat involved in bootleg trading for certain bands, I imagine it's like that. People that wanted to just post stuff had their hands tied cause there were always dudes with rare tapes that only wanted to trade, and if you posted your rare stuff right away then you lost any trading power it had, so you'd have to think ok if I hold onto this for a while then I can use it to get other rare stuff to make that public too. So it ends up being a drip feed.

Where were they published? I've noticed a lot of the corocoro and learning magazine issues have been up for auction in the past. Someone on twitter bought the set of magazines that apparently contains picrel but they were interested in a different franchise and they didn't get back to me about any Pokémon manga in it.

Ty anon. I guess I did download two of these when I went through all the archive dot org Pokémon books but BW slipped through cause they kind of look like all those other Scholastic guidebooks with sugimori art inside. Tells me I should probably go through again and make sure I read carefully.

If i had more money/time (& if people would ship manga to my country), i'd definitely be scanning/do some hardcode scanlations.

I've found English copies of Movie 5/6, Magical Pokemon, Golden Boys, Ash&Pikachu and others but postage alone is expensive

I did find some improvements to his site though.
"How I Became a Pokémon Card" has some english scanlations on Mangadex that aren't on jb2448 (e.g the butterfree chapter.. There are 6 scanlations to english; chapters 1,2,4,17,38 )

jb2448 only has volume 1-6... 7/8 are available on Archive.org
