>>53143097I think you're missing that anon's point and he's not arguing the right way against you. Yes, the solution for dealing with the fight requires you to be more creative than the basic "hit super effective attack" strategy, but the fight just isn't fun. At no point in the game is using things like Toxic, Destiny Bond, etc. ever really necessary and out of nowhere comes a boss that basically mandates it, and once you do use it the fight becomes an utter joke. It's horribly unbalanced. Which is weird because the Totem Pokemon struck a generally nice balance between "super strong singular mon" and "you can use a variety of strategies to take them down" on top of having their own unique gimmicks thanks to their partners, of which Necrozma has none. You don't feel the need to use some dumb strategy against a Totem mon and thus those fights feel far more satisfying and less like cheesefests.
You also have things like romhacks where plenty of them have tons of fights harder than Ultra Necrozma but also get the player to start thinking early about more broad strategies so that it doesn't feel so jarring and out of place when you make it to harder fights, and it also doesn't feel like the game is kicking you in the teeth and severely restricting your freedom with how to approach a battle.
Ultra Necrozma is just pure shit every way you look at it.
