Kid sales stayed strong, adult sell-through the likes of which every past Gen saw fell off, as Nintendo were pushing 3DS's at the same demographic and that in turn limited the revenue DS games was going to pull in.

It was the first time there was a 3rd Version that didn't overhaul the entire experience.
Yellow, for its faults remixed Kanto heavily. Crystal added some mostly extraneous Suicune stuff on the whole.
