Seriously? I find choosing Mudkip makes the fight the easiest since the rival's Grovyle is so non-threatening compared to Combusken and Marshtomp.

Don't remember if it's the case on Ru/Sa, but in Emerald the Grovle has Leaf Blade and is faster than you even when you have a good level advantage, and even with that level advantage the Leaf Blade is a 2-KO, OHKO if critical.
