>>53150269I really liked the placement of alpha Pokemon in certain areas, kind of like minibosses. The Lopunny at the end of the cliff in Obsidian and the Gallade at the end of Snowpoint Temple were really memorable. It's kind of a shame that they're not particularly threatening after the initial surprise, but I liked the feeling of discovery.
I think SV tried to do something similar with the non-raid Tera Pokemon, but they weren't as memorable. Maybe because they're completely harmless in the over world, whereas the PLA alphas are out for blood.
