Do you get more eggs from having multiple breeding pairs while picnicking? I'm breeding for shiny Gulpin and have been using masuda method but I only have one foreign Ditto and it has bad IVs. I have three male and three female Gulpins with perfect IVs so I was wondering if it would be worth it to breed them instead of masuda method and I can't find any information about it online.

If your question is:

What should I do? Whore my only foreign Ditto with 5 Gulpins or go 3 with 3 because I want to get more eggs/quicker? The answer is: it doesn't matter. You will get eggs at about the same rate if you put 3 Gulpins and 3 Dittos or 1 Ditto and 5 Gulpins. Just remember to keep all partners female or all male so they don't interbreed between themselves and plummet your shiny chances. The point of MM is to have 2 different languages breeding eggs for better rolls after all

I know this sounds like a dumb question but this new breeding system is so poorly implemented it wouldn't surprise me if the game artificially capped your egg production rate no matter what common sense method you apply. What about if I'm able to increase the number of foreign Dittos? Would two foreign Dittos and four female Gulpins increase the number of eggs I collect over a 1-5 ratio?

I'm so sick of breeding and want the pain to end but I've invested too much time into it to give up now.

Update: I picniced with one japanese Ditto and five female Gulpins for around fifteen minutes and got zero eggs with egg power 2. What's the deal?

Is anything holding a Destiny Knot? Not like it should be an issue with that setup though.

Yes, all five Gulpins are holding destiny knots. The Ditto has no held item.

Well, that might be an issue then. Other Pokemon will only breed with the one holding a Destiny Knot and having multiple fucks with withs, apparently.

Damn that really stinks. I was hoping to pass along as many perfect IVs as possible to the future shiny so I can save my bottle caps. Can I fix it by giving the Ditto a destiny knot or do I need to remove all of them from the Gulpins?

It doesn't matter which parent is holding the Destiny Knot. Putting it on Ditto alone should work.
Not reall sure if having multiple Gulpin ups your egg rate though.
