paradox mons were solely made to inflate the mon total to 1000 and that's the reason most of them are so lazily designed

True. Convergent mons also. I was wondering why they didn't just make Wugtrio a regional variant. But your explanation makes sense. But it gives me a headache when the Alolan Sandshrew line exists. Wish they were retconned to Snowshrew and Snowslash...
