>>53165408The thing is that you have to remember when TLoU released on PS3 there was an assload of generic shooters and driving games. At the time the "movie game" was still a relatively unexplored concept and out comes TLoU late in the gen cycle with an attempt at strong writing and characters, and it was a mega hit because of it
Then came along TLoU2 where one of the main characters, a teenage girl in the previous game that a lot of the young boys who played TLoU1 fell in love with, turned out to be a lesbian, on top of another main character looking like an extremely butch masculine woman in post-2015 America during an election year where everyone can't shut the fuck up about trannies, and it provided the perfect shitstorm
Plus the entire series itself can, as said previously, be responsible for the huge surge of "Sony movie games" which has fed into the ever present console warring, and now you have the recent HBO drama with a very ugly actor portraying the aforementioned lesbian and explicit gay sex scenes so the decline of modern cinema gets dragged into the mess as well, all on top of the main director being Jewish and a huge faggot that unironically said that fun isn't in his staff's dictionary or something similarly stupid
Tl;dr its a mediocre game by today's standards that had just the right ingredients to become a permanent presence in retard filled gaming communities
