Reusing a sprite doesn't even come close to the reuse of the same models since gen 6 with barely any updates outside of PLA.

I love Dusk Lycanroc, but it's weird that for a mon that had such a big focus they were so lazy about their design, I know that they're supposed to be an inbetween of the other two forms but they really could've made them way cooler pretty easy, instead of just coloring them orange and copy/pasting Midnight's mohawk on

It also would've let Midday retain their uniqueness, because Dusk is so similar to them that they basically just replaced them for a lot of people

It always baffled me how they consistently gave bird keepers mismatching overworld sprites (usually with yellow hair)
Like what's going on here
Pretty sure that no other trainer in HGSS uses that overworld sprite too

I'm quite sure that all the backsprites for Gen 1/2 Pokemon in Gen 3 were just recolors of Gen 2 backsprites with some slight alterations

Most of them were just the exact same as Ruby and Sapphire with a few minor edits and color correction. Only a select few Kantomons had completely new back sprites like Ninetales, Alakazam, Gengar and Muk.

Gen 3 refurbished most of Gen 2's back sprites. Gen 5 recycled a lot of Gen 4 sprites. People really need to stop pretending 3D was when Gamefreak started recycling. It's just more noticeable with the 3D models. Hell even the non Gamefreak games recycled old models just look at all the Gen 1 and 2 Pokémon from Colosseum.

I think it could use Midnight's rib spikes too. The problem with Dusk Lycanroc is that it's stats are almost identical to Midday's too. It's basically Midday but better in every way. There's literally no reason to use Midday form.

The RSE overworld sprites of most of the 'classic trainers' (Youngster, Bug Catcher, Hiker, CoolTrainer etc.) appear to have been based on their GSC battle sprites

Will never understand why people gush over Gen 2 Kanto when it's gutted and worse in almost every way. Entire routes, towns, caves and landmarks became corridors, single rooms, scrunched down, removed or turned into a crater.
