It's not impossible, but theoretically anything with a set up move that takes less than 50% per turn can sweep if you buy yourself more time with healing items. Every pokemon game can be beaten with a full team of 6, without even a little grinding. You don't even really NEED to use healing items either, they're just a buffer if you're using weaker mons that need the extra help to really get going.
