>>53185202Well once you cross the threshold to a certain rank you can't go down again even if you continuously lose (so you'll never drop from Great Ball back down to Poke Ball) though you can drop from say Great Ball level 2 to level one. Also, once you reach Master Ball, you'll have to win at least one for your Pokémon to get the ribbons.
The rest is honestly just knowing the meta, like what the most common Pokémon and strategies are and how to counter them. For example, if doing doubles, if someone has a bunch of slow, powerful mons plus Indeedee plus Farigariff then it's obviously a Trick Room team and you should have a counter for it. Season 2 is the first one that allows Paradox so you should have a work around for Iron Bundle and Flutter Mane who I'd argue are the two most common.
It's tough to give you more advice than that without knowing the team you're using though.
