I am indifferent to them since I havent played them yet. Finished AS recently, will play XY next, and then probably play this versions since anons told me that its just a waste of money playing both Sun/Moon and USUM.

Gen 7 isn't my LEAST favorite, but it's pretty low for me.
Terrible starters.
Weird art. Ohmura is a fucking joke and imitated Sugimori so poorly.
Weird region. Too same-y.
I appreciate they tried mixing up the formula, but it ended up (to me, at least) not feeling like Pokemon enough.

They are right, usum does make s/m obsolete. Btw if you are actually buying the games Id suggest hacking your 3ds instead and downloading roms. All u need is a 3ds and sd card.

Literally no one hate them. Even XYfags kneeled because Alola completed their games. SwShfags respected them. SVfags never said anything about them. No one hate Alola here. If you meet one, that troon is probably a tourist from discord

i hate them because it's fucking impossible to replay them.
i simply do not have the patience to sit through a 70/30 cutscene:gameplay ratio again.
i couldn't finish USUM, and i'm on track to replay SV before i try and replay an alola game.

other than that i liked everything else or at least tolerated it because i can't think of anything else
but usum really bothered me with the botched storyline in an attempt to either fix lusamines character or make necrozma relevant, either way its retarded
also fucking annoying rotom in usum

If you played a challenge run like a nuzlocke or something the cutscenes are much less of the playtime. It's easy to miss chances to explore just gping through quickly, but stopping to check for wild encounters forces you to notice when you have a chance to get away from the main plot.

Putting Zygarde in Alola isn't completing anything, it just raised more questions.
Like Aura Break is useless in that game because Xerneas/Yveltal aren't in it?
There's no environmental issues or even references to them like the Kalos Power Plant trying to master solar electricity
And there's not many places to really use the 100% form because the post-game has even less to do than Gen 6.
Cancelling the Zygarde was awful.

I literally just don't like the hand holding and overbearing story and cutscenes. It's a good game but it doesn't really work with the playstyle of earlier pokemon games, which had way more room for player Autonomy. Like I'm not exaggerating, these games are nigh unenjoyable for me personally, No amount of hard battles will make the game feel less like a guided tour and more like an adventure, the only way to do that is to let the player actually GO on an adventure

USUM would have been top-tier Pokemon games if they were Switch ports like the rumours implied, and if they hadn't fucked up the Lusamine/Lillie storyline so badly.

There was a LOT of additional soul added to them, like going back to the Trainers School at night and investigating the 'hauntings' there
