I'd imagine with the current gym format from 8 and 9 the challenge would probably be something like completing an acrobatics course which would add a degree of time-based platforming to the player's navigation, probably something very similar if not outright the Meat Circus with a giant tightrope which snaps when the player's halfway across turning into a trapeze leading to the gym leader.
