when Tajiri stopped caring and Ishihara became the CEO, the franchise became furbait/anthroshit/pedobait garbage because furries are the biggest merch consoomers after fujos.

it wouldn't be different for Charizard, but if they made a total reboot for the franchise, they would put anthro shit as #001
