Yeah this is completely absurd for a corporation of their size. That said I have the expendable money and I rather have fun messing with it broken and wait for patches than another year of them fixing it.

Actual bugs on the switch in single player:
- flickering shadows
- falling underground
- disappearing ridemon (you gotta work for that one, though)
- graphical effects of wild pokemon persist when those pokemon disappear due to a nearby ongoing battle
- incorrect pokemon/trainer placement in battle in some areas
- pokemon sliding down walls/underwater during battle
- trainers disappearing during battle/dialogue
- pokeballs in various doors/rooms
- incorrect health visual in raids
- wild pokemon stuck inside walls/ground/objects/other pokemon
- camera may fall underground or stop following you in some situations
Everything else is either a multiplayer or an emulator bug.

3 friends of mine and me played for like 50 hours on Switch and we got several bugs and some crashes.
Not game-breaking bugs but some, most of them were silly, but still...

Except that almost never happens.
The only bugs I saw in 50h was some pokemon spawning inside walls and my character being in a retarded place during battles like right in the face of the trainer.

Bug-free games at release are rare these days. Not saying we shouldn't make a big deal of it but there isn't any real game-breaking bug or bugs that make finishing the game impossible, which sometimes happens.

Never in my life have I had a Pokemon game crash before SWSH, and in SV I've had crashes as well was many of the glitches that >>53187264 describes.
My gf actually lost a shiny she was hunting because of crashes. Neither of us were emulating, nor did we actively seek out bugs

I know this is anecdotal, but it's the truth. "Not game-breaking" is too low of a standard for a AAA $60 title.
