Should have tried to use counter, i think it would have worked because hyper beam is physical and counter calculates based on the last move used by the enemy, although i'm not sure if it's patched in gsc so that it only calculates for that turn specifically.

I switched Lanturn for Heracross because I need Lanturn to not take damage for the bigger Dragonite, I couldn't use counter the turn heracross took the hyper beam, I didn't even expect it to survive

I mean if you had used counter during the turn dragonite was recharching it might have ohkoed dragonite, because dragonite didn't use any move after hyperbeam. At least, it would have worked in rby.

Is this the level 50 Dnite?
The level 50 one has Fire Blast, and the two level 47 ones have Blizzard and Thunder. You can kind of use that to your advantage.

3-4-5 are great gens but why is it that 1 & 2 just seem so much more comfy. More complete yet somehow more simple

Everybody knows the real challenge is capturing the roaming legendaries.

Also i know that in crystal both ho-oh and lugia lose their signature skills if they are not captured before becoming the champion, because they become level 60. Not sure if that's still true in gold and silver...

At least you can the signature move back if you link up to stadium 2 and beat lance with your team. For emulators might as well just use a cheat code, it's not like it's an illegal move anyway.
