You also shouldn’t be paying ANYONE on a Pokemon fangame, that’s illegal and could easily get you shut down, it has to all be nonprofit or else you’re paying someone to create a counterfeit Pokemon game which is highly illegal. I also don’t think you should be creating sprites or final artwork until your whole team has settled on a design, it’s messy, sad, and shocking to see that you’ve had 2-4 different sets of starters with full art in the span of like two weeks, it’s very jarring as an onlooker and I have to imagine it’s even more jarring as a member of the team. My advice, make a rom hack sort of like The Delta Episode, a short and focused little legendary journey with a few trainer battles and a boss battle. This will help you see the process of starting and finishing something without it being an 8 badge Pokemon game, and if you play it smart you can be creating maps, trainer sprites, battle themes, etc that will be reused in the full game when you return to it.
I didn’t mean to demoralize you OP, I just wanted to say what no one in your server had the spine to say. I know it may not be the most tempting offer, but if you’re interest in continuing and want me on the team to provide the sort of input I’ve been giving in this thread, let me know. I want you to succeed, there’s just some work that needs to be done before that can happen.
