Silph Co. worked with Prof. Oak in developing a digital pokedex. They also produces and distribute most of the pokeballs and healing item supplies in Kanto. Indigo League endorses Giovanni, a well known mob leader, to become an official gym leader. The whole Saffron City takeover happened right under Sabrina's nose, one of the most powerful esper in the region. Eventually you realize thay everything can be traced back to Team Rocket. The whole fucking system is corrupt. You can see kike's hand behind everything

My headcanon is that TR is a contract paramilitary organization originally intended to keep the peace. It's obvious that the gate guards and Team rocket work together to some extent but they do not like them as they let a kid through for just sharing a drink. If they were rocket members they would be forced to battle you and they have to be ordered by rocket to block the gate as the rockets would have come through one of them. Sabrina also offers no aid and actually her gym is blocked by a rocket when many of them are 5-10 levels lower than her gym.

It really seems that Porygon and Lapras should've switched places.

A Silph employee giving you a random Lapras is kind of a non-sequitur. It makes more sense if he gives you a Porygon. Likewise, Lapras fits the Game Corner better, since it's canon that Lapras was near extinct due to poaching. It's also a much more powerful Pokemon, capable of soloing Lance, which would justify the 9999 coins you need to get it.

I would but my Blue cartridge is only half functioning at this point. Half the time I insert it into a GameBoy it's not able to read it. I also somehow lost a save file just by taking it out of the GameBoy. Put it in Stadium and it said there was no save file on it even though there was one before I took it out of the GameBoy
