What would happen to a Pokemon if you crushed their Pokeball while they're still inside? Imagine it rolling out of your pocket in your sleep then *crunch*

Since Pokeballs work by converting Pokemon into living energy for storage I imagine when the Pokeball runs out of energy they dissipate like normal energy and essentially die

I'd assume there's a failsafe that automatically transfers them to a box. Even if you don't have one.

This "le super dark pokeball fridge logic" falls apart the moment you remember that pokemon can just pop out of the ball at will and are also aware of outside stimuli. I'm pretty sure if they thought they were in danger they would escape right away. And if the ball is compromised it just releases them in a flash of light.
