Did they? I remember when Sun and Moon released that a wild Pokémon could sometimes call others into the fight for backup. I remember that someone here mentioned a way of doing it to get Salamence early at level 5 to 10.

I wouldn't say this one is soulful, but definitely a good feature. SV not having wild doubles/hords when groups of Pokemon attack you in the overworld feels so fucking stupid (especially with the tremendous lack of double battles in that game overall)

What blows is that hordes and Super Training were really good for people who wanted to make competitive Pokémon. I.e. those two methods were really fast. I haven’t got a Switch but from my understanding making competitive Pokémon isn’t as easy as it was in Gen 6.

In Gen 6 you can initiate a horde battle instantly assuming the route you are in has horde battles

Ah, okay. I haven’t really touched Pokémon beyond SM so I wasn’t aware that was straight-up removed in the Switch games.
It’s crazy just how many QoL features since Gen 7 onwards have been removed.

>DexNav and Soaring from ORAS
>Mega Evolutions
>Horde battles
>Secret Bases
>Streetpass features like the Eon Ticket for ORAS, which GameFreak could have expanded to all other events in ORAS and beyond if they wanted.

You rematch the Gym Leaders by going to their gyms in the post game, but you can only fight them once

Team Star Bosses can be rematched daily

The rest of your friends are rematched in the Ace Tournament along with fighting the teams of the rest of the school faculty

Yes, GameFreak, we know. You wish you could have left customization behind in XY, never to be seen again until the XY remakes because you wanted Kalos to be "unique and memorable" as the only region in the entire Pokeomn world where people care about fashion enough that the player character has enough sense to change out of that mangy, months-old getup.
