Would be nice to see him instead of Psyduck show up so much because I'd rather get that sweet sweet ice coverage early than search for it before the inevitable Dragon Gym Leader/Elite 4 Member etc. Plus I like him and cloyster as they're kewl.

That's cringe to like it for the Ice type. There's virtually no reason for Cloyster to be Ice other than "we need more Ice mons in gen 1 so let's tack it on a couple of water pokémon". Water/Rock, Water/Steel or even Water/Bug would make more sense.

Waste of quads on a shit opinion. Gen 1 had plenty of Ice Mons if anything they could've left it solo water. It getting technician and icicle spear (basically made just for it) make it an amazing Ice mon. Cry some more.

Articuno, Dewgong and Jynx are legitimate icemons

Cloyster and Lapras are completely tacked on. Please enlighten me on what clams in general or even Cloyster's design in particular have to do with ice?

I liked it enough as a kid, but as an adult i've grown to like it even more, cute not too busy design, nice color palette, and it's part of the focus of 1 of my favorite episodes The Evolution Solution.

Still not as bad as Slowpoke/Slowbro being Psychic despite NOTHING in their descriptions alluding to it.
