I wouldn't say BW2 saved BW. It just added in older pokemon, BW2 doesn't even really take off until the postgame too.

big enough departure from BW that you can tell its intention was not to replace it. Plat straight up makes DP obsolete, there is no reason to play DP if you have Plat but if you have BW2 you can still get a much different experience from BW

Yeah Sinnoh was just not designed well at all. But it gave us the first snow route instead of cramming all the ice types into a cave, so that's cool I guess.

Yes. You can tell a lot about how the devs used to care about the user experience when they would internalize that it's wrong to continue to sell a product when they know they can add stuff to it as time progresses and provide larger, special edition packages.

Yes. You can tell a lot about how the devs used to not care about the user experience when they would internalize that it's okay to sell an unfinished product first and then scam people into buying the same slightly less unfinished product later instead of just releasing a good product to begin with.

The story in BW is shit and so are most characters (by this, I mean only Alder. Just because they take themselves too seriously it doesn't mean that you should. It's just all theatrics.

Good games like Gen 5 trivialize the narrative that USUM was good, so it's a major threat to discord raiders. Same reason they deflect their hatred of Gen 5 onto XY fans by posting the same bait images that show how good Gen 5 is over it.
