GSC were Kino, the gym leader teams were... mid at best. Admittedly most gym leaders teams in Pokemon aren't that great, but the refusal to add in more Gen2 Pokemon hurts the team. Ironically, Kanto teams have nearly twice as many Gen2 Pokemon as Jotho leaders and the extra variety helps them greatly, though Kanot still has the issue of some leaders only having 3 pokemon despite the player having beaten the champ at this point, (4 Pokemon should have been the absolute mininium for the Kanto half).

I recalled they replaced Blue's Rhydon with Tyranitar and gave Brock Rhydon instead of a literal fucking Rhyhorn, in HGSS
but no, they just replaced... Alakazam with Tyranitar? that's stupid

When will zoomers learn that Gen 2 was about ALL 251 Pokemon, not just the new ones? Probably never. Nugen garbage has turned them autistic I guess. And people wonder why Pokemon is such garbage nowadays.

I seriously nope no one is dumb enough to think that Gen2 leaders should ONLY have Gen 2 Pokémon, when the only game to ever do that (aside from the Kanto games) was BW (Even B2W2 added pokemon from earlier gens).

The most annoying thing is the Johto gym leaders use Kanto mons that didn’t get much attention in Gen 1. Like Chuck using Poliwrath and Bugsy using Scyther is based.

I don't get bruno with onix when heracross is not assigned to anyone, and jasmine could use skarmory instead of forretress to improve team variety. Bugsy with natu besides hoothot and pigeotto would be nice as well.

Other than that it is the best list so far.

Wait of course price should have a delibird, that's obvious, and it can even replace Jynx because will also has it. Clair should also keep the 3 dragonair, her being a dragon type snob is a character trait.

I personally thought it would be a good idea to give her a Larvitar because it shows you a pokemon you have no idea how to get yet or what it is and Tyranitar looks pretty much like a dragon. It's like a clue to show the future.
